Q. Does it matter what we call our Circle?
No. You can name your circle anything you like. Some groups call themselves the Houston Intenders, for instance, and others we know of call themselves the Empowerment Club. The main thing is that you and your friends follow the Intenders Circle Format and sit in a circle and say your intentions and gratitudes into it. It is the Format that produces very uplifting results.
Q. When is the best time for an Intenders Circle?
A. Anytime. There are groups meeting on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday
evenings in our area.
Q. What do people wear to and Intenders Circle?
A. Sometimes people are coming from work, so there's a variety of clothing.
But, for the most part, we wear very comfortable clothes.
Q. What should I bring to the potluck?
A. The majority of the Intenders Circles in our area have vegetarian
potlucks. Bring whatever is appropriate. (And don't forget the dessert!)
Q. Do I have to do anything special to join the Intenders?
A. No. All you have to do to be an Intender of the Highest Good is tell
yourself that you are one.
Q. Who can participate in Intenders Circles?
A. Everybody! We are an open group.
Q. What if someone else in the Circle says the same intention that I was
going to say?
A. Just say "ditto." We say ditto a lot in our Circles.
Q. How many Intenders can there be in a Circle?
A. Most groups have found, through experience, that up to 25 people in a
Circle works well. More than 25 can sometimes take a long time. (We don't
like to hurry through our gratitude and intentions.) When a big crowd shows
up, some groups have chosen to divide into smaller Circles in different rooms
of the house. The ideal size Intention Circle seems to be between 10 to 20
people. Of course, we all come back together in a big Circle for the Toning!
Q. Can I bring my children to the Intenders?
A. Our experience has guided us to discourage people from bringing young
children. Intenders meetings usually run 2-1/2 to 3-1/2 hours, and most young
children are not able to sit quietly in one place for that length of time.
Some Intenders groups have a person who takes care of the children in a space
that is away from he Circle where the children can be told stories or given
some other form of upliftment.
Q. Can I put intentions in the Circle for a friend?
A. Yes, we do it all the time. We just make sure that we include the highest
Q. The world is changing so fast for me, and I find myself getting upset
when the things that I'm used to having aren't there anymore. What can I do?
A. These are the times that test your Spirit. Ordinarily, when you look
closer at the situation you're in, you'll find that it isn't really so bad.
It's just that you think it's bad. If you find yourself getting upset when
big changes are happening, remember to remain friendly toward others. The
people around you may be the ones who'll help you. Treat them the way you'd
want to be treated. Be patient, ask for what you need, and be ready to
receive. Above all, stick with the Intention Process and keep moving forward.
Q. You talk a lot about peace. Is peace really possible?
A. Absolutely. Once you've been intending for awhile, you'll look back at
some of the dreams that have come true for you. You'll remember when you
first decided to make an intention to have something that you thought was
almost impossible for you to have. But you took heart, said "What the heck,"
and went for it anyway. And then, all of a sudden - Boomzapwow - it
manifested right there in front of you.
You got your first taste of the Intention Process at work and you
realized that you weren't as confined as you used to be. You could "go for
it" with confidence and expect your highest intentions to come to life, no
matter how difficult they appeared in the beginning. This is the attitude
that will bring lasting peace to our Earth.
Everything is possible! It starts out with a simple thought that turns
into a few spoken words, "If it be for the highest and best good, I intend
that peace and love and grace return to this Earth now. So be it and so it
And it ends with all of us, standing in wonder, gazing out across the
threshold of a new world.
Q. I've either misplaced or didn't receive one of my Bridge Messages. What can I do?
A. To retrieve a missing Bridge Message, you can go to: www.intenders.org/support
Q. All of a sudden my Bridge Messages stopped coming entirely. I'd like to keep receiving them. What can I do?
A. The problem is with your ISP (Comcast, Earthlink, etc). They are sending the messages that we sent you back as "Undeliverable" because they've recently tightened their filtering parameters by blocking anyone who did not "double opt-in". Unfortunately when we set up The Bridge we only required that you use a single opt in process and now the only way to resolve this is to ask you to follow the instructions below in order to begin receiving The Bridge again.
1. Email us at [email@example.com] and tell us that you are no longer receiving your Bridge messages.
2. We will then erase your address from the list and send you an email telling you to go ahead and sign up again.
3. Then you can go to http://www.intenders.org/home.cfm and reregister. This time it will ask you to verify your registration (This is the double opt-in.)
4. Send us another email to [firstname.lastname@example.org] letting us know that you have signed up again and the number of the Bridge message you left off at.
5. We will then manually reset you to begin again from where you left off and you will receive your next message within a day.
Q. My email address has changed. How do I update my email address so I can continue receiving The Intenders Bridge?
A. You can update your email address quickly and easily by clicking on the aweber Change Subscription Options link that is on the very bottom of every Intenders Bridge message. It will take you to a form, and in the upper right corner you'll see another link that says Change Details. Click on it and then update your email address by replacing your old one with your new one and hitting the Submit Button.
Q. I have a verification system in my email. Will it keep me from receiving my Bridge Messages?
A. Yes, so you will have to set your email program to bypass the verification process for the Bridge Messages. We are not set up to return automated requests for verification.
Q. I am receiving an error message when I try to upload my intentions into The Bridge Notebook. What can I do?
A. At present, we have fixed all of the issues we were having with The Notebook and it is working perfectly. If you continue to receive an error message, please let us know at [email@example.com]
Q. I am unable to login to my Bridge Notebook. What should I do?
A. Ninety-nine percent of the time, the reason you cannot login is because you have used an incorrect username or password. We recommend that you intend that you are inserting the correct username/password combination and try again. Unfortunately, we are unable to retrieve usernames at this time. Passwords can be retrieved by using the form box at the bottom of the login page. Your profile page contains all your current information, so we suggest that you make a note of it the next time you are logged in.
Q. I have a question about The Intention Process. Where do I send it?
A. We always recommend that you first refer to The Intenders Handbook or The Code: 10 Intentions for a Better World before you send us any questions about making intentions. Our experience tells us that most of the answers you seek will be in The Handbook or in The Code.
Q. I ordered some Intenders products from Passalong Concepts but have not received them yet. What can I do?
A. The Intenders are no longer associated with Passalong Concepts, however we will make good on all orders placed through them. Email us at [firstname.lastname@example.org] with all of the information pertinent to your order - your name, address, phone number, order number, date ordered, products ordered, etc.
Q. How soon do your orders go out?
A. Most orders are shipped the day after they are received, although occasionally it may take up to three days for an order to go out.
Q. We just started a new Intenders Circle. How can we get listed in your directory so others in our area can locate us?
A. Email us at [email@example.com] with the name of your city or town, your name, and phone number and we'll put you in our directory within a few days.
