Great Spirit Rising

I received a Facebook Message on our Intenders Founders Circle site last week from my friend, Judy Stahl. Judy is past president of the American Massage Therapy Association and she was requesting that I send her a copy of a quote from my book, The Reunion: A Parable for Peace. She wanted to use it in a project she was working on. Here is the quote:

The longer you hold to the old ways,
where one profits at the expense of another,
the longer your challenges will continue.
However, as soon as you let go
and allow Great Spirit to bring about
a solution that is best for everyone,
your challenges will lessen.

In The Reunion, one of the main characters, Chief Joseph, says these powerful words. As it turns out, they happen to describe what most of us are going through nowadays. We can either continue to hold onto our old ways, with all of their ups and downs and in-betweens, or we can let go of them and take our chances out in the great Unknown.

The challenge with this is that it's rare to find people who are really letting go, even though our old ways are the main cause of the widespread suffering we see around us at every turn. Indeed, these old ways are the reason 40% of the world's people live on less than $2 a day; it's the reason the children starve, the wars continue, and the Earth cries; it's the reason so many are unfulfilled and unhappy. The next new widget we buy doesn't give us any more lasting happiness than the last one we bought - and we keep repeating the same patterns over and over with the same results - all because we're afraid to trust and step into the Unknown.

It's been my job over the last 20 years to trust. I've been putting my own teachings into practice everyday - intending, living by manifesting, letting go and accepting what Great Spirit brings. It hasn't always been a bed of roses, but it has been rewarding because, along the way, I was fortunate to meet face to face with Great Spirit - and it was, by far, the most profound experience of my life.

After that it didn't make any sense to be fearful of the Unknown. Why would I want to be afraid of Something that felt so good?

The Secrets of the Skies Revealed

This article is a preview of an upcoming Vision from The Vision Alignment Project. It was inspired yesterday after a pristine sunny morning when the planes flew and our beautiful blue sky went away.

We see a world where the Secrets of the Skies have been fully revealed; where humanity, en masse, has awakened to what's going on over our heads; where we know the reasons for the man-made clouds that cover vast areas of our beloved planet; where we have been made aware of the locations of the massive network of air bases, pilots, crews, and planes that spray us almost daily; where our leaders and politicians have come out of their denial and openly talk about it; where we know whose idea it was to block out our Sun; and where we understand the larger cosmological context and significance of it all, and that, with this understanding, we see ourselves and the Earth as having been part of a containment orchestrated by those who were treating us as if we didn't matter.

As a result, we now live in a world where all has been brought to light (literally and figuratively), our skies are once again clear, our air is once again pure, and our freedom from unloving forces is assured, now and for always.

The Bamboo Story - Your Time Will Come . . .

Here is a wonderful story posted on our Intenders Facebook Founders Circle page last week by Jason MicHeal Ratliff. It was written by Brenda Slavin and it is pasted here for all those who have made intentions that haven't manifested yet. We intend that you are as touched by it as we are.

One day I decided to quit...I quit my job, my relationship, my spirituality.

I wanted to quit my life. I went to the woods to have one last talk with God.

"God", I said. "Can you give me one good reason not to quit?"

His answer surprised me.

"Look around", He said. "Do you see the fern and the bamboo?"

"Yes", I replied.

"When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took very good care of them. I gave them light. I gave them water. The fern quickly grew from the earth. Its brilliant green covered the floor. Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo.

In the second year the fern grew more vibrant and plentiful. And again, nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo.

"In year three there was still nothing from the bamboo seed. But I would not quit. The same in year four.

"Then in the fifth year, a tiny sprout emerged from the earth. Compared to the fern, it was seemingly small and insignificant.

But just six months later, the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall.

It had spent the five years growing roots. Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive. I would not give any of my creations a challenge it could not handle.

"Did you know, my child, that all this time you have been struggling, you have actually been growing roots? I would not quit on the bamboo.. I will never quit on you.

"Don't compare yourself to others." He said. "The bamboo had a different purpose than the fern. Yet they both make the forest beautiful.

"Your time will come", God said to me. "You will rise high"

"How high should I rise?" I asked.

"How high will the bamboo rise?" He asked in return.

"As high as it can?" I questioned

"Yes." He said, "Give me glory by rising as high as you can."

I left the forest, realizing that God will never give up on me. And He will never give up on you.
